Who is Like You, O LORD?

Who is Like You, O LORD?

I love getting up early before anyone else when the house is quiet, and even the sun hasn’t awakened yet. Especially on a Saturday morning!

Saturday mornings to me always symbolize a start to a slower day. As I move slowly and make a cup of coffee, I head to my favorite spot to spend my alone time with God, and I already feel His presence. I can tell He is just as excited to meet with me, as I am to meet with Him.

Through this quite time, God stirred a verse from Exodus 15 this morning, “Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?” Exodus 15:11 (ESV). As I read this verse, it moved me so much. It made me start thinking back over my life and the many, many times that God has been majestic and did glorious deeds for me. I thought back over the days where I, without a doubt, could say, “Who is like You O Lord?” The days where I knew that what had just taken place was by His hands. They were orchestrated days, even years before hand. I know they were orchestrated even before the foundation of the world, but to look back and see the process still amazes me!).

I pulled out my journals and started glancing back over the words that I had written. Reading His faithfulness to my family and me. With tears streaming down my face I felt as if God was telling me to share a few of these times with you. So for the next few weeks or so, I’ll share some of my “Who is like You, O LORD,” moments. Some will be hard to journey back through and may take days to share just one story. I hope that you will be able to receive encouragement and strength through my encounters with God.

My life has been messy, and finding my way back to Him has been a struggle. But there’s no doubt that His glorious deeds in my life has been and continues to be beautiful! His love continues to amaze me on a daily basis!

So grab a cup of coffee and join me as I recall some of the “Who is like You, O LORD” moments of my life.
